Rekindle Announces Two Strategic Managing Director Appointments to
Lead Programs and Partnerships Growth

Cleveland, OH — February 3, 2026 — Rekindle, a leader in community engagement and program innovation, today announced the appointments of Sam Dickerson as Managing Director, Programs & Partnerships — Cleveland and Elyse Picker as Managing Director, National Programs. These key leadership additions reflect Rekindle’s commitment to expanding impact, strengthening strategic alliances, and scaling high-impact programs across cities and nationwide.

Sam Dickerson — Managing Director, Cleveland Programs & Partnerships

Sam Dickerson brings to Rekindle a deep commitment to youth development, education equity, and meaningful community engagement in the Cleveland region. A renowned church Pastor, Sam recently served as Chairman of the NAACP Cleveland’s ACT-SO Program, guiding high-achieving African American students in academic and creative pursuits and fostering leadership development across the community.

Known for his collaborative leadership style and ability to build impactful relationships across nonprofit, educational, and civic sectors, Sam leads Rekindle’s Cleveland programs and strategic partnerships, strengthening local outreach and empowering local Fellows.

Elyse Picker — Managing Director, National Programs

Elyse Picker joins Rekindle with extensive experience directing programs that build meaningful connections and drive community engagement. Previously serving as Program Director with the Jewish Community Relations Council (JCRC) of St. Louis, Elyse has spearheaded initiatives that advance inclusive dialogue, civic engagement, and coalition building across diverse communities.

In her new role, Elyse will oversee Rekindle’s national program strategy, focusing on scaling successful initiatives, cultivating cross-sector partnerships, and ensuring excellence in program design and execution. Her leadership will help Rekindle strengthen its national presence and deepen its impact in communities across the country.
